A safe space for reflection and learning
LM Counselling

Clinical supervision offers a valuable opportunity for professional reflection, learning and growth – at any stage of your career.

With over 10 years’ supervision experience, I work collaboratively with social workers and allied practitioners to deepen their clinical knowledge, enhance ethical decision-making, and strengthen practice frameworks.

Who I work with

I work with professionals who are looking to understand complex mental health presentations through a systemic lens. This is typically Accredited Mental Health Social Workers, but I also support other allied health professionals including psychologists, occupational therapists and speech pathologists.

I work with practitioners at all levels – from early career professionals to experienced clinicians. While clinical supervision is normally an ongoing relationship, I can also provide one-off support to debrief after an incident or manage a challenging case.

What it’s like to work with me

My approach to supervision is collaborative and reflective. It’s grounded in a trauma-informed, strengths-based framework – much like my approach to therapy.

I aim to create an environment where you feel safe enough to be vulnerable and honest, but where you can also be stretched and challenged. I believe it is this balance of comfort and growth that allows meaningful and sustainable change to occur.

The value of working with me

I bring over 15 years’ experience in child and adolescent mental health, trauma-informed practice and family therapy to my clinical supervision.

This allows me to offer a unique systemic perspective to understanding and treating complex and severe mental health issues. From a practice perspective, I can provide guidance on the use of EMDR, CBT, ACT and Family Systems.

I’m passionate about supporting our workforce to be more effective and sustainable. I’ve completed both foundational and advanced supervision training through the AASW and had the privilege of providing supervision in a mental health context for over a decade.

This includes supervising junior staff in outpatient mental health services, supporting clinicians working with children at the Austin Hospital CAMHS, and, for the past two years, providing supervision to mental health professionals in community health.

I’m committed to my own professional development in the same way I’m committed to supporting yours. I’ve undertaken extensive training to deepen my clinical expertise, as well as various leadership positions, including sitting on the Board of the EMDR Association.

These experiences all help me support practitioners to navigate the many complexities of clinical practice.
